In these modern times, communication through electronic media often denies basic
human emotions - Love, Anger, Understanding. He sees his work as an attempt to remind
people of a more primal form of humanism. In a sense, he sees a need to redefine
emotion. Because Benshalom’s work is his passion, he is involved with his art every
step along the way in the casting. He has a passion for life and for what makes the
world go round: relationships, man and woman, family; this is what his work is about,
his work flows, as life flows. “I tell people not to think about my work, if they
love it, just love it, that's what I do.” Benshalom’s work can be found in museums
and public spaces worldwide.
